This lipstick is perfect for all the nostalgic 90s gals out there. Remember the days of the mood ring? Lets face it, who among us didn’t collect those little colored rings like candy? However, there was always the slight disappointment when the ring hardly changed color throughout the day.
However, recently Dior came out with Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm and it’s a complete game changer. This lip color is similar to the idea of the mood ring, but it is a “grown-up” version. Additionally, it works in a much better way. The color is created by the lipstick’s reaction to the individual body’s pH levels which guarantees a much wider array of color changes throughout the day than does the mood ring, which changes with body temperature.
Color-changing lipstick has actually been around since 1920 when it was created by a brand called Tangee. Today, it is available for purchase via an array of brands from high end (Dior and Sephora) to drug store brands. With all brands, the lipstick begins by actively changing colors often. Yet, in the end, all lipsticks settle to a uniform berry shade due to the ingredient Red 27.
Is it time to toss out those mood rings and apply some color-changing lipstick? Share your thoughts!
