This waitress is sharing her story about two teenagers that decided to leave her a rude comment about her makeup skills, instead of leaving a tip.
At this rate, in our society, we should be used to hearing about makeup-shaming. You would think that people have read enough about the subject, that they would educate themselves about how rude it is to makeup-shame.
Sadly, some people still have yet to learn that lesson. But this waitress is clapping back at some teenagers who makeup-shamed her, once they got the bill.
An Instagram user by the name of wingedandcontoured, has taken to her page to share her story of how instead of receiving a tip, in the form of payment, she got an insult about her makeup.
First of all, her makeup looks absolutely fine and I see no issues with it. I mean, her eyeliner and contour are both on point!
So why exactly did these girls feel the need to tear her down?
The aspiring makeup artist started off by saying that she was waitressing for a table of two ’16-year-old looking,’ girls. Everything was smooth-sailing, up until she dropped off the check. That’s when the drama started…
Apparently, the teens were not paying attention to the prices on the menu, because they demanded to speak to a manager, after looking at how much their bill was.
“The teens ‘didn’t have enough money’ and I ‘didn’t tell them exactly how much their food was going to cost them’.”
Alright, it is NOT the waitress’s job to inform customers about every item’s pricing if they don’t ask for it.
Also, I’m not really sure how they failed to also remember that, yes, tax and tip are something one pays for at a restaurant. Maybe their parents have yet to teach them that? Who knows?
The story continues on with the manager not giving into their request of a discount. The reason for the lack of discount was that the manager didn’t think that it was the best idea for the teens to order food that they were clearly incapable of paying.
After the payment drama, the teens ‘magically’ had a debit card to put it on and left this incredibly rude ‘tip,’ saying: “Here’s a tip, contour is supposed to BLEND!” and ‘kindly’ included a ZERO on the tip-line.
Luckily, the waitress remained unphased by the ‘tip’ and did not lash out (directly) at the girls for what they said.
Look, I’m all for some petty revenge if someone does you wrong, but if anything, these teens were the ones in the wrong. Maybe they thought that being ‘savage’ was going to be something funny to go and tell their friends later on? But they got what they deserved with this Instagram post.
Just remember, makeup-shaming is still frowned upon, especially when the person’s makeup looks AMAZING! No need to be savage and jealous, when it comes to makeup skills.
Let’s hope that those two teenagers have learned their lesson…
