You would typically think of going for a darker hair color for fall, but 2017 has just been the year of surprises, and cream-colored hair is the new lighter choice for the season.
Say hello to ‘Cream Soda’ hair! It’s the perfect hair color that literally anybody can rock. Even some of your favorite celebrities are sporting the trendy color right now!
This is probably the most practical and inclusive hair color trend we’ve seen all year…
LA hair colorist Sunnie Brooks talked with Refinery 29 about her inspiration for the color after she posted a photo of ’70s supermodel Cheryl Tiegs. Sunnie liked the way the colors created a “glow” around the face.
“The ‘Cream Soda’ hair has beige brown and warm gold tones in it. The lighter accents give it a creamy good tone but the lowlights of a translucent (versus pigmented brown) ground the color.”
Whether you have dark or light hair, you can achieve any variation of the cream soda color.
Celebrities such as Sophia Bush, who naturally has dark brown hair, went for the ashy option of the trend.
And then there is the iconic Gigi Hadid who looks like a straight-up Barbie!

I truly love this color and I think it looks beautiful on any person! I would be willing to try this one out, as I already have balayage. I mean, my hair could be toned and lightened up just a bit. But who knows… I’m too indecisive!
