Apple's new emojis have the Internet questioning whether or not there's truly a need for them.
Apple recently announced the update of iOS 11.1, including a ton of new emojis, for iPhone/iPad users.
But more specifically, Apple introduced everyone to their gender-neutral emoji characters, which led the Internet to express some differing opinions.
The people of Twitter have spoken!
Some Twitter users are wondering if Apple has gone too far, regarding the label of ‘gender-neutral emojis’, while others don’t see that much of an issue.
There are those who are genuinely pleased with the update!
Those who would rather have anything else, than more emojis…
You know @apple, we don’t need new emojis. We need better battery life that doesn’t die in 3-4 hours when I’m not on my phone.

And surprisingly, a lot of people are demanding red-haired emojis.

What’s your take on the gender-neutral emojis?
Do you think they’re absolutely necessary? Or absolutely ridiculous?
Besides the gender-neutral emojis, Apple has released even more creative emojis, including a mermaid, a dinosaur, and a fairy. They’ve even included a very realistic-looking broccoli emoji, which I don’t know why, but I’m really happy about!
